Adaptil can help your dog to adjust better to modern living by creating a supportive environment to help prevent behaviour problems, caused by every day stressful events. Adaptil is a synthetic copy of the dog appeasing pheromone naturally released by a mother dog to comfort and reassure her new puppies. Adaptil is non-sedative, non-systemic and as such can be used alongside other types of medications. Adaptil has been scientifically proven to have the same reassuring effect on puppies and adult dogs. It is particularly useful for new or challenging situations.

Simple things can upset your puppy or dog - new people, car rides, being left alone, fireworks or even a baby being brought into the home. The visible behaviours that you notice can be a result of your dog trying to cope.

  • Drooling and licking of lips
  • Excessive barking and whimpering
  • Soiling in the home
  • Panting & pacing
  • Trying to escape
  • Seeking out owner
  • Destroying household items

    Traffic calming

Posted by Husky rescue on 21st Oct 2018

Have been using this for about 2 weeks as my rescue is frightened of traffic and to get to the best local walks we have to cross a busy road. This has really helped, he still finches a little but he's much better and hopefully with time the calming effect of the collar and our patience we'll be down the river without a whine

    needed for firework season

I always but these to calm the hounds during the firework season. The collars calm the hounds thus making it a less worrying time for us too

    Adaptive collar

This is Molly’s second collar and they really help her to stay calm and not get to that stressed panic situation we had with her before we tried these collars. Which makes life much happier for Molly and me as she is happy.

    No difference

    Posted by JJW7 on 7th Sep 2018

Unfortunately this collar made no difference to calming my dog on a long journey. The veterinary nurse had recommended giving it a try as he has become very anxious when travelling in the car, after always having been calm and just slept before. I'm glad that at least it was on offer and I didn't pay full price for it. I also got the travel spray thrown in for free but that didn't have any affect on him either so £17 wasted!

    Nothing has changed

Posted by brightonbabe on 6th Sep 2018

I bought this recently, and put it on Taos immediately. Unfortunately, it hasn't dented his level of stress. He barks at pretty much anything and a bark control that I bought online isn't helping either as he is a bit deaf. I thought the collar being so close to him might help. The bark controller did however stop my other dog barking in the garden for a short while, but she is back to barking again. I'll just have to keep looking. Here they are, golden girl Roma (ex Romanian street dog) and Taos (ex-stray from London via Battersea).

    Didnt work for my dog

    Posted by Jb00008 on 2nd Aug 2018

I have a shy/nervous puppy (9 months old) so the intention was to buy this to help him chill out a little on walks and in general day to day life. We used the collar for about 25 days and unfortunately this made no noticeable difference to his behaviour in any situation. Not to say that it wont work for other dogs but unfortunately no help for me or my dog.
