Both the Adaptil Diffuser refill and the Adaptil 1 month Refill 48ml listed on site are compatible with one another, despite differences in packaging. However, Fetch reminds customers that due manufacturing difficulties the Feliway diffuser and refill, previously listed as "New" are not compatible with any of the products listed on site now.

The diffuser releases the comforting pheromone in the local environment and should be plugged into the room where the dog spends most of it's time, perfect for helping your dog feel confident and supported in their environment.

  • The diffuser will cover an area of 50-70 sq m (one floor of a three bed property) and last for 4 weeks
  • Adaptil refills can be purchased to replenish the diffuser every 4 weeks. The diffuser plug should be changed every 6 months
  • Please note, we have changed the packaging of our adaptil diffusers. The diffuser in these packs is our original diffuser unit

Fireworks: Noise fears are very common, affecting up to 80% of dogs in the UK. In most cases dogs showing noise fears can usually be helped by providing Adaptil support and following a few simple steps. This should include building a den, drawing curtains, turning on the TV and most importantly acting normally and ignoring any fearful behaviour.

Rescue / Boarding Kennels: The kennel environment can be stressful for you and your dog. Some dogs may show stress-related behaviour such as pacing or barking. Others may go off their food or develop diarrhoea. Consider fitting an Adaptil Collar before the dog enters the kennel. This has been shown to prevent excessive barking and help dogs adjust more quickly to kennel life.

Travel Fears: There are two aspects to travel problems; motion sickness and travel fear. However, the symptoms of each are very similar and many dogs are believed to suffer from both. Reduce the stress associated with travelling by using an Adaptil Collar or Adaptil Spray. However, in some instances it may also be necessary to treat the motion sickness with medication.

Not miracle worker but seems to help!

Posted by Peter Thomas on 4th Apr 2017

It;s not a miracle worker but we've found our cocker spaniel calmer overall. He seems more restful especially in the evenings when he will curl up on his bed. He has had some behaviour problems so anything which helps is worthwhile.

    Always have a spare

Posted by Tara Brown on 9th Jan 2017

Love this product when it's working properly . I have 4 rescue dogs 2 girls and 2 boys. My vet recommended adaptil as 1 of my boys kept attacking the other. I was sceptical but gave it ago as I was running out of options. To my amazement it stopped all aggression! And restored harmony to the house. But I advise if you do decide to use this always have a spare, I have had a few that are faulty where the stick drys out and it stops being effective even when all but full, so check the stick regularly as behaviours return quickly when it's not working.

    Not smelly

Posted by Sam Keen on 15th Dec 2016

I use this along side the collar for my dog and it works great! She suffers with anxiety when now when I'm out the house I know she's perfectly fine. When I was reading reviews all I saw was that they let out a funny smell. I would just like to say it's not true! You would never even know it's there! Highly recommend!

    Adaptil diffuser and collar

Posted by Christine griffith. on 4th Nov 2016

These two products are useful in helping dogs settle in the house when feeling anxious. We have in our road many properties currently undergoing a large amount of building work mainly basement and loft conversions which can take as long as two years to complete. Working from early morning to evenings and weekends. Dogs find this very hard to deal with. Even affecting there relationship with people in hi visibility vests on the street. Noise and vibration is a big issue. I've found that both the collar and diffuser help. Yes I could use tablets but would rather not.
