Great for an old dog
Our dog has been having this for a few months. We noticed that his cost was immediately much better and his skin less flakey. He hasn't lost lots of weight though!

good quality kibble
There are lots of good things in this food, and it has certainly kept the weight off our old large golden retriever very effectively without him ever seeming to be hungry. The kibble does seem slightly smaller than in the old packaging, and slightly dustier too, so that I discard the last few handfuls of the bag. Shame, as it is an expensive food. But, as I said, it has a lot of good qualities.

Made my dog GAIN weight!
I have heard so many rave reviews for Barking Heads, that I didn't think twice about trying this. Unfortunately, my dog GAINED weight on this, and so we won't be using it again. He does not have any metabolism issues that might have caused this, it was absolutely the food.

Great for keeping dog trim
My dog has been overweight in the past and having got her back to a healthy weight, Barkings Heads Fat Dog Slim has helped to maintain that weight despite the odd treats here and there. It's a good quality food and I recommend it.

Fantastic food
Purchased this for my overweight 10 year old Westie who was struggling to walk due to arthritis in her hind leg. She has now been eating this wonderful food for about 9 months, has lost over 1.5 kg and is so much more active. The limp has now disappeared and she is able to get in and out the dog flap with ease as well as running around with the bigger hounds. Tempted originally by the name but so impressed with the results.

Great food for fussy eater with delicate tummy.
I have been buying this for several months. My dog always eats it up, but we do still add a spoonful of wet food to it.

Great for greedy doggies!
My greedy spaniel will eat anything - and does. Consequently, she had developed a barrel of a tummy. I find it hard to be disciplined about her diet and would hate to feel I was starving her - especially during cold weather. However, Fat Dog Slim seems to be doing the trick. She loves it and is satisfied with her meal, yet her slimmer figure is reappearing! Thank you, Barking Heads!
