    This really works well

Posted by EmandStirling on 1st Mar 2021

Bought this, just had it delivered today, already put it on my overreactive Aussie male. The stress of the relocation from US to UK has really done a number on him. This started working within 30 minutes of putting on his head/neck. I am amazed and impressed. He still enjoys his Sleepytime tea, but I'm hoping I can cut back on that now. Thank you to those who made it!

You will never look back on bonfire night!!

I was told about this product by a lady up the park, so i bought some last year for my very nervous jack russell for bonfire night. WOW....he was so chilled, not doppy, just chilled, he still was alert to hear fire works and tail was still down, but he was not panting, shaking like the last couple of years..wish i had heard about it before..

    Perfect for fireworks night

We’ve used these several times for fireworks nights and they have calmed him down immensely. We’ve also given him a couple of calming treats and the combination really works well. You do need to apply a pipette to the top of the head about an hour or so beforehand to give it time to work.

    The only thing that helped

    Posted by Genie36 on 13th Nov 2018

Beaphar Calming Spot-On Dog is the only thing that helped my poor wee terrified dog with horrendous fireworks night after night. He is now afraid of the dark as he thinks as soon as it gets dark the loud bangs will start all over again. With this product he stopped panting and shaking uncrontrollably. He was happy to just lie on my feet for the duration of the nightmare noise. Thank you for this wonderful product.

We brought these as both dogs are petrified and of fireworks and it was easier than the dogs taking tablets

At last, a calming product that actually works!

Posted by WSSMum on 26th Jul 2018

Having tried everything from diffusers, sprays, chews and tablets for our excessively boisterous, excitable and noisy Springer (medium sized), I was sceptical about a product that is applied to the skin. But to my amazement it really does work! My only problem was getting him to keep still long enough to apply it. If your dog has a very dense coat you might want to clip away a small area of fur to make application easier. It makes the fur a little oily but once dry and brushed it's invisible. A couple of hours after applying it I noticed he was less noisy (I'm sure the neighbours appreciated that) and not quite so manic. Gradually over the next 24 hours he became even calmer and more settled, but still playful and alert - definitely not doped up. The fact that it works quickly and only needs to be applied once a week is a bonus. It was effective for about 5 days before we noticed him becoming excitable again. His calmer behaviour allowed us to positively reinforce his training because he was quieter and we had his full attention, and he seemed to remember it after the Beaphar had worn off. I don't intend to use this product every day, mainly when grandchildren are visiting (his exuberance frightens the little ones) and when I need to clip his nails, take him to the vet, or 'doggie' events. I don't know whether a dog might become 'immune' to it's effect if it's used continually. So far this is working well for us and I will keep it at home for use as necessary. Definitely worth a try if you (and your dog) are getting desperate!

    Calms a GSD

45kg of German Shepherd Dog, fearless when it comes to chasing squirrels or pigeons but let a firework off a mile away and she is a drooling wreck. It takes two of the doses but it does seem to calm her. As she is getting older now, I find it also works for separation anxiety. We don’t use it too often, but when needed she seems more relaxed.

Our dog is totally out of control when there is loud noise of any sort and I thought that this would resolve the problem when fireworks started, but no such luck
