The hooks need replacing as they come undone/bend out of shape & have sharp pointy edges which cause serious injury - we use chains and hooks from old ferret tubes or from hardware stores instead. Perfect in Summer to prevent rats overheating - we use ours as airy chewable hammocks which the ratty girls like sleeping on during warm days. We have not tried it as its intended cargo climbing net purpose as our rats tend to just jump up and down shelves rather than bother climbing but I think a few of these tie
