Effipro is an affordable spot-on solution containing fipronil for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs and cats. It is applied using its unique, award-winning* 'Drop-Lock' pipette, designed to give you precise finger tip control - and that means no leaks or mess! The clear chamber means you can check easily whether you've applied all of the solution - and, once applied - it kills fleas fast, providing up to eight weeks protection for dogs and up to five weeks for cats.

Effipro Cat administration: by topical application to the skin, preferably the back of the neck and shoulders, 1 pipette of 0.5ml per cat. Follow the enclosed instructions for correct application. Can be applied on a monthly basis. Fleas from pets often infest the animal's basket, bedding and regular resting areas such as carpets and soft furnishings which should be treated, in case of massive infestation and at the beginning of the control measures, with a suitable insecticide and vacuumed regularly. For optimum control of flea problems in a multi-pet household, all dogs and cats in the household should be treated with a suitable insecticide. The product should not be used on kittens less than 2 months old and/or weighing less than 1kg. The product should not be used on sick animals, or on rabbits. Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals.

The active ingredient in this product is Fipronil which is the same as Frontline. This is a cheaper version of the same generic product and it works. We use it as standard in our branch of Cats Protection (run by volunteers). I also use it regularly on my own cats and have no problems with fleas.

I live in an area where fleas are resistant to the popular brands of spot on treatment (even veterinary prescription).<br />This treatment works and is cheaper than the current product suggested by my vet.

Did the job when Frontline stopped working. And there's 4 in the pack, important when you have 4 cats.

I thought I would give this product a try, and to be honest, I wish I hadnt. The product is very hard to open, I ended up using a pair of scissors. As for doing the job it was bought for, well, it just doesnt work. Sorry guys.

If I could give this product zero stars I would. As soon as we swapped to Effipro we got a flea infestation. Apparently this is the same as Frontline but cheaper, do not believe this, Effipro is not an efficient way of controlling fleas. Back to Frontline for us.

Effipro is useless for controlling fleas. I changed from Frontline less than 2 months ago and never had a problem. I changed because it was supposed to be the same but cheaper. Since using this my 4 cats have had a flea problem. I have had to spray the house regularly. Stick to Frontline - it works.
