Feliway can help your cat adjust better to modern living by creating a supportive environment to help deal with unwanted feline behaviour. Feliway is a synthetic copy of the `feline facial pheromone' or `happy marker' that cats leave behind when they rub their face on people, furniture, doorways and other objects in the home. It is a sign they feel comfortable and safe in their home environment. When used in the cat's home environment, Feliway provides the same comforting effect as natural pheromones do when deposited by cats themselves. Feliway is a non-sedative, non-systemic and so can be used safely alongside other types of medications.

Cats are at their most loving and content when they feel in control of their environment. Anything that interrupts this can unsettle them, such as moving, redecorating or bringing home a new baby or pet. Over time this can increase your cat's stress level, which can be expressed in various ways:.

  • Scratching or urine spraying in the home
  • Less interaction with you / hiding away
  • Anxiety when travelling
  • Loss of appetite
  • Over-grooming

Over time, if untreated, these behavioural changes may cause health related issues. Using Feliway can help give your cat a feeling of calm and reassurance. It is clinically proven to help reduce inappropriate behaviours caused by stress. Great for cats that travel, stay in catteries or are visiting the vet. It can be sprayed onto bedding and carriers in times when your cat might be experiencing more stress than usual. Apply to the environment (e.g. carrier, bed) 15 minutes before introducing the cat.

Great product, works really well in calming my Ragdoll cats when recently having some work done to my house and we also use it around Guy Fawkes Night with all the fireworks going off, it does make such a difference.

    maybe it does

Posted by Jinx on 28th Jul 2019

My cat has had 3 bouts of cystitis all within 2 months, the vet thought stress may be the cause. A new cat has moved to the area and is flexing it's muscles sort to speak. Along with medication and a daily spray of Feliway around the house Charlie seems to be more his old self. I am not sure if the Feliway helped as he is still on medication to reline the bladder. We intend to continue Feliway as we are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep Charlie fit and healthy. Hence 4 stars not 5 as I am unable to make a decisive judgement on Feliway.

    Excellent does the trick

This product is excellent in doing what it is supposed to and keeps my new rescue cat calm and stress free also stops those little puddles from appearing. The only downside is that it is extremely expensive even for the small spray .

    Didn’t work for my cat

    Posted by Web60 on 2nd Nov 2018

I bought this for my 14 year old cat who seemed to be a little stressed due to another cat coming into the garden. I sprayed a little on her bed and a bit on the settee. Unfortunately it seemed to make her worse and for 2 days wouldn’t go near where I had sprayed. In fact she was sick on the settee which has never happened before. I had to give it away to the local cat rescue. Not sure if the diffuser would be any better. Disappointing result and very unexpected.

    Feliway spray

Posted by Viv on 2nd Oct 2018

I have two cats, siblings, the boy is super confident. The female, however, is extremely shy and fearful. Feliway plug-in and spray appear to calm her down. She definitely seems more anxious when the plug in runs out and the spray is a good back-up.

    Helps calm our cat

Posted by Luther on 11th Sep 2018

We use this regularly to help calm our cat in stressful situations, taking her to the vets in a cat-basket, checking for fleas, giving her anti-flea medication - useful inall those instances.
