This Grain free complete dry cold pressed food its suitable for dogs 2months +. Cold pressing is a natural way to preserve nutrients that are essential for growth, digestion and good health. We put a carefully balanced blend of natural ingredients into our special press. This gently squeezes everything together at low temperatures to seal in the goodness. The result is bite-sized pieces with all the flavour, aroma and nutrients of the ingredients locked in. To aid your dogs digestion some of our ingredients are thermally pre-treated prior to cold pressing.

Our Complete Cold pressed recipes can be served on its own or mix with a good quality wet food. If mixing, adjust the amounts accordingly. Dogs' tummies can be sensitive to change, so introduce cold pressed gradually over two weeks, starting with a 50/50 mix with the current food and slowly increasing the ratio of cold pressed. For puppies it is advisable to soak the pellets for 10 minutes in warm water to make them easier to eat, plus it will also help bring out the taste.

    Forthglade dry duck

Posted by Claire Corrigan on 13th Jan 2022

This is the only kibble my dog has liked continuously for at least a year, he actually prances around when I get it out. He has gone off every other one after a few weeks. I feel it is good quality .

    Good dog food

    Posted by Erica65 on 4th Aug 2020

I brought this for my mums frenchie, as i did not like feeding her raw food. She loves it and it , and because it is grain free and very natural it does not seem to make her skin itchy which I am so please about . It also last about a month for a 6kg bag for 12.5 kg dog which makes it cost effective.

    My dogs love it

It's a great healthy product. I feed it to my friends dog when he comes to stay as he doesn't like his own when he's here. I'm trying to convince them to feed it to him all the time. I wish there was more variety in the dried food range, especially for older dogs.

    Could be better

Got this for my dog and she struggled to eat it as it’s very big and long. She hasn’t touched her food since. Posted the bag to donate to a free home and a lot of people commented saying they had the same problem, dogs won’t even touch it.

    Good Procuct & Service

Have used this food for my 2 dogs for a few months now, & it is excellent. If you have a smaller dog, I'd suggest you'd need to soften it by adding water, as these cylinders may be quite hard to chew for a small dog. they're roughly 1.5-2cm in length, & prob just under a cm deep. My Spaniel X Staffy & my German Shepherd manage without difficulty. They both love it, &the pack is resealable, with an efficient, resealable ,velcro-type strip. I feed this a couple of days per week, to keep their diet balanced, & feed raw food the rest of the week (tripe, mince, chicken carcasses, heart, liver & fish). Mixing it with raw food keeps the cost down, as we are fortunate to live near an organic farm who keep us the raw food at a low enough price. Raw bones are fine. It's cooked bones that splinter. I've fed this diet for years (the raw, B.A.R.F. diet) & they really thrive on it, but find it can be very time consuming to process the fruit, veg, oils, herbs etc, so adding in Forthglade dry food has made things a lot easier. I can add more of those ingredients as & when I want to. I have an 8 year old German Shepherd who looks & acts like a 2 year old. His coat is glossy & he exercises like a much younger dog, his hearing & eyesight are brilliant. Both dogs teeth are great. My other dog is 11/12 & also very fit, healthy, & great eyes, hearing & teeth. I've not had any trouble with upset tummies since feeding Forthglade, although, as with any new food, it needs to be gradually introduced, to avoid soft stools whilst they get used to it.
