Works Well
I have been using this product on 4 different cats for 14 years. It WORKS -- but it does NOT kill fleas in the household (you need to get Frontline Combo on scrip for that). If you pet ends up with fleas when you have used this product, there may be fleas or eggs already in the house. You should not get "a greasy mess" if you part the hair in a line (I use a comb, or the sharp edge of the packaging) and apply to the skin. In any case, the oil absorbs & disperses within 24 hours and it's a LOT more comfortable for your pet (and you) than a flea infestation! Once the oil gets into the sebaceous (sweat/oil) glands, it WILL prevent fleas for up to 5 weeks. This is MUCH better than the old-fashioned flea collars with OPs, which are LETHAL for pets.
