Cats have big characters. They also have big energy requirements, fast metabolisms and burn energy at a fast rate. Just like the big cats of the wild, they are carnivores, so they need high levels of meat to ensure maximum health. For cats, a high percentage of meat is not just desirable: it is essential. There is no doubt that the higher the meat content, the better it is for the health of the cat! Little BigPaw is a range of wet foods designed specifically for cats with character. We work closely with leading nutritionists to produce foods that are perfect for all cats. Our foods are packed with meat, high in energy, nutrient dense and rich in calories - so a small amount of food packs in a big amount of energy.

We choose natural ingredients that are gentle on the pet's stomach and easily digested. We even add Taurine - an amino acid essential for feline health. What's more, we use a very high percentage of 100% traceable British meat so every cat will love the taste - big taste for little big cats.

  • Packed with Proteins: Made with tasty fresh turkey, highly nutritious, easily digestible lean meat
  • Vital Vitamins & Minerals: Including A, D & E for a healthy immune system and strong teeth and bones
  • Omega Oils & Fats: Essential fatty acids for great skin, joint care and a superb shiny coat
  • Taurine: Essential for a healthy heart and good vision
  • Absolutely no artificial preservatives, no colourants, no flavourings, no grain, no wheat, no soya and no dairy. Just great food packed with natural goodness

    Great for my cat’s tummy

Posted by Whosshethecatsmother on 28th Mar 2019

Have a cat who had real tummy problems for a while but is also a massively fussy eater. Chewing her cat food is a bit too much effort and she always likes food that she can lick. This was the best product ever for her and she hasn’t had a bad stomach for the 18 months she’s been eating this. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for money saved in vet visits and carpet cleaner...

    Cats loved this

Little big paw contains a high amount of meat which the cats love. Duck was the favourite. Wish it was not quite so solid, cats prefer more gravy. However, they did enjoy this.

Fantastic product and very good for older cats with teeth missing. Soft enough for cats to lick without chewing. The meat content is high and good for a cats stomach.

Littered with bones - made my cat vomit blood!

Posted by HannahGH on 20th Mar 2018

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING THIS FOOD. I first started buying these for my cat last year, as it seemed to be everything that she needed, a complete, grain-free, soya-free blended food. She's adopted and suffers allergies, so it's been hard finding the right food for her and getting her to put on weight. A few weeks ago I noticed small bits of white matter in her food and thought little of it. A week later I opened a pot of turkey food and saw what looked like bone. I used a fork to go through the food and was horrified by how many bits of sharp bone there were. I took pictures and sent them to Little Big Paw, with batch information, and they asked me to post them the fragments which I did. This took two weeks, in which I had to keep feeding Athena and though I hadn't touched that batch of food I had to feed her and so fed her from another batch, believing there had been an issue with just one and keeping an eye out. In a completely different batch I found more bones than the first and second pots put together (these are in the sieve picture). I emailed again with these pictures and the response I finally got was that "Bone is a naturally occurring component of the cat mousse as this is the natural source of calcium required in the cat’s diet. Variations between trays can occur but as a result of your findings we will adjust our production process to emulsify the meats and reduce the size of the bone present." This is absoloute nonsense. Any vet will tell you that yes, cats do need calcium and it's often given in bone format - but ground up finely as bonemeal. On Little Big Paw's own website it says, "The ingredients should also be very digestible (>90%) and easily absorbed and utilised by the body. " There is no mention of bone in their ingredients list, and I emailed them back with a photo of Athena's vomit on the 15th after I had fed her a duck pot (which also contained bones - so not an issue isolated to one type of meat, let alone a batch!) and I still haven't received a response. This has made me so anxious about her food that I have been sieving every pot (I am not on a high income and wouldn't give them to a shelter as they'd just hurt another cat), and I have found bones in the turkey food, chicken, duck and salmon. Please do not buy this food, clearly their standards across the board are incredibly low and these sharp bones could cause serious injury to a cat.

    This is my cat's favourite.

My cat loves this flavour and I was disappointed it was out of stock for a little while. Really happy to see that it's back now. I know what I'll also be giving my cat for Christmas dinner now!
