As in humans, plaque bacteria constantly forms in the mouth of all cats and dogs. Once plaque has calcified into tartar it can no longer be brushed off. In many cases it has to be removed by a vet using ultrasound and anesthetic.

My cats hate it!
I have tried to introduce the plaque off into my cats food by starting off with a smaller amount than prescribed, but both of my cats won't go near the food when there is even the tiniest amount of plaque off in it. I have tried it on their wet food and their dry food. Not sure why it's advertised with "yummy brewers yeast" as if all cats will like it, when they clearly all don't!

I Tried
My elderly cat is suffering from dental problem but due to a heart murmur he cannot have an anaesthetic for teeth to be cleaned. I thought id try the Plaque off powder and dental chew sticks as a way forward. The cat didn't like the powder at all and would not eat any food with even a tiny sprinkle of the powder. Whilst he plays with the cat nip chewing sticks he wont chew on them, probably due to painful gums. So overall NO improvement whatsoever

Surprised They Ate It
Really surprised all 4 ate this on top of their food & does seem to have made a difference to their breath so I guess it must be working in some way. I am using it in combination with dental biscuit too.

Great For Cats Dental Health & Hygiene
I've been adding this supplement to my cats food both wet & dry for most of their lives. It is an easy way to help prevent plaque and over time costly dental treatments. I find they prefer the cat specific version.

J'utilise e produit depuis 3 semaines donc je ne peux dire s'il fonctionne sur la mauvaise haleine mais je peux dire qu'il est très appétent. Mes 3 chats males, siamois, norvégien et main coon adorent son goût. Pourtant 2 sur les 3 sont assez difficile...

Ne fonctionne plus
J'utilise ce produit depuis plus de 10 ans, sur 2 chiens ; les premières années, c'était formidable . On retirait même le tartre existant. Depuis quelques années, il n'y a plus aucun résultat même après un détartrage. Je dois le refaire moins d'un an après. Quelque chose a dû changer dans la fabrication. Je ne reprendrai plus ce produit.
