Purina Pro Plan Natural Defences Adult and Senior Supplement Powder for Cats

My vet didn't know what this was, but said it shouldn't have an affect on my cat's heart medication. She's tried it a few times and seems to love the flavour! Still a bit sceptical about giving it to her often but maybe once it's a more known product I will. Her coat does look healthier too. Easy to dispense.

I have to be honest and say that I was not sure if the cat would accept this into the food, as I have tried other ways of adding extra supplements and all have failed before. But this caused no problem at all. Even from the very first meal with it added, the cat ate all of the food with no fuss. So this is definitely a plus. It is still a bit too early to be able to tell if there is an actual difference after using the powder, but, knowing the type of quality products Purina Pro Plan offers, I have no doubt that I will be seeing results soon enough.

This product is made from a very fine powder, which makes it easy to hide in food. I have had no issues giving it to my pet and have tried it in wet and dry food. The first few doses gave my 17-year-old senior cat an upset stomach, but this has settled. I don't know if this is a coincidence or just his body getting used to the supplement. The scent is mild and doesn't smell pungent, as some other products do. I have been using this for a few weeks on and off but have not noticed a difference in his health. It irritates me that the scoop is too large to fit inside the pot. Therefore, making it easy to lose and messy to store. I will continue to use it and hopefully see the benefits.

my cat loves this supplement powder and cannot go without it when eating his food. i struggle to feed him food he gets fed up of or does not end up liking but this powder does the trick. i sprinkle some on his food and he devours it like he's starving. makes my life easier for sure.

Used in my cats wet food as wasn’t sure it would go down well on his biscuits. He ate all his food, putting the powder in didn’t put him off. Too early to see benefits yet.

My cat is not a fussy eater, he did not notice it on his food. The powder does smell like cat food. He's coat looks improved and I can't wait to see how he is ofter months of use.

I was very excited to try this product on my elderly cat. As soon as the product arrived I unpacked it and set to try it. The product is well packed in a container with wide rim, with measuring spoon provided so dosing was very easy - just sprinkle on top of your cat's wet food and mix. My cat is fussy when it comes to eating but he had no issues with eating the product. I was giving him 1 half spoon a day. Unfortunately withing 5 days he started to itch and was scratching a lot, so I had to stop the trial. I'm giving him 2-3 weeks to settle and will try again.

My fur baby can be picky when trying new things so I didn't know how she would react to a new flavour but I didn't need to worry. I sprinkled this on her food and after a little sniffing she ate it like nothing had changed. She's looking as good as she was before so only time will tell if using this will improve her health.

Our little girl has had her share of tummy problems over the years. We've been giving her the supplement as advised, every day but it's still too early to tell if her digestive problems have improved. On the other hand she absolutely loves the powder and eats all her food straight away something she didn't use too and her food would last an entire day in the bowl until it was time to fill it again. Unfortunately, her brother was of the same opinion and overnight managed to chew the box to get to the powder. We're not sure how much he was able to consume but he was absolutely fine the next day which attests to the safety of the product, in our opinion.
