Purina Pro Plan Opti Start Original Kitten/Junior 1-12 Dry Cat Food - Chicken

Tigger absolutely loved the food as soon as it hit his bowl. Tigger eats both wet and dry food before the trial started and now he absolutely prefers purina over anything offered. I have noticed his coat is softer, and very shiny. His growth is fantastic and the vet commented how well he’s growing. He seems so content and I will absolutely be raving about this product I will be keeping him on this for the foreseeable future.

Our 10 month old kitten absolutely loves this! She is very much a wet pouch kinda girl so I was pleasantly surprised when she wolfed the kibbles down. It helps fill her up in between meal times. I have tired her with other dried foods in the past and she's not been too keen, they are really small kibbles too so perfect for her little teeth!

My kitten has refused to eat other dry food in the past, and yet she is choosing to eat purina pro plan over even her wet food pouches, and seems to be loving it. She has been more energetic too since starting this and i love that it has a good percentage of meat content, protein and all the vitamins and minerals a cat needs.

We were struggling to wean him off pouches. He would eat very little dry food all day and we would break and give him a pouch which he would wolf down. Not anymore. He loves The Pro Plan optistart kitten food. His head is down and he gobbles every meal right down in 2 goes at the most. He is eating the recommended amount in only dry food now and this is within 4 days of using it. He also seems more settled. Highly recommended for those lazy fur babies.

We have 2 kittens, 1 would eat anything the other is so fussy!!! But both ate this with no questions, the pieces are a lovely size and smelt lovely! The nutrients etc that is in it made me feel super happy giving it to them! We now use it all the time  

We were lucky enough to receive a packet of this dry cat food from Purina Pro Plan, and it really went down a treat with our kitty. She was previously reticent to eat dry food, but after a few exploratory bites, she definitely approved. We did notice that she drank more water when eating this, but that is a plus point for me.

I weaned my 6 month old kitten onto this over several meals as advised. I mixed it in with his regular wet pate styled foods. He seemed to like the smell straightaway and finished his bowl. As recommended I put down plenty of water and was slightly concerned at first as his bowl was emptied earlier throughout the day. Not sure if the product made him more thirsty or it just coincided with him being let into the garden and expelling more energy. As 8m out in the day a bit more, I tried just giving this on its own rather than having wet food attracting bugs and he even eats it by itself as he was rather picky on his previous dry food. I love the nutritional value and he's developed a lovely glossy coat. I always worry that some foods add lots of additives and bulking products but assured by this brand. I still ration the portions as he is a chubby Tom but he still needs filling up more. Will purchase more of this brand.

I am sure it is a very good, nutritious food and I have heard great things about it, however, my cat just wouldn't eat it. She is generally very fussy eater, so I can't say I wasn't expecting this outcome, if I am honest. The food, however, is nutritionally perfect for kittens to help their growth, following weaning, so would definitely recommend it to everyone to try.
