Purina Proplan Veterinary Diets Canine HA Hypoallergenic is a complete hypoallergenic veterinary diet for the diagnosis and management of food allergies in dogs of all ages, including puppies.
Some dogs may suffer from food allergy, which can cause skin discomfort and/or digestive upsets. PPVD HA is a true hypoallergenic diet specially formulated with a single protein source and purified carbohydrate source and, in addition, the protein has been broken down (hydrolysed) into very tiny components that are too small to cause an allergic reaction. Such hydrolysed diets are recognised as the best type of food to use during an 'elimination diet trial' when trying to diagnose (or rule out) food allergy.
During such a trial it is important that your dog is fed no other food or treats. PPVD HA is also useful for dogs with severe bowel disease such as IBD as it is particularly highly digestible.
- Single hydrolysed protein broken down into tiny components too small to cause any allergic reaction
- Purified carbohydrates to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction occurring
- Added omega-3 fatty acids to help maximise natural anti-inflammatory process
Purina Proplan Veterinary Diets Canine HA Hypoallergenic is a true hypoallergenic diet formulated with protein that has been broken down (hydrolysed) into very tiny components that are too small to provoke an allergic response, and a purified carbohydrate source.

Great for food intolerance
Was recommended Purina HA by vet after puppy had poor digestion, horrid poos and struggled to keep weight on. It has been a lifesaver. Digestion stabilised. Bright eyed, lovely coat. Bags of energy. Will keep using it.

Perfect product great service
We needed this food on the advice of our vet, to work out our dogs allergies. It was d3livered next day exactly as it said it would...very pleased. This food is his main kibble and part of an elimination diet. He’s been on it for 6 weeks and doing well

So far so good...
I only recently bought this food for my dog as he has started having problems with his digestion. So far so good, it does take a while to see for sure but it seems fine at the moment. It is quite expensive though.

Vet recommended (at twice the price)
I had a Jack Russell with itchy feet and an English Bull X with flatulence. Both problems solved by feeding exclusively with this food (no treats) - it's not either dogs favourite food but they are eating it. It's been 3 months now so about to begin introducing treats, one at a time, to assess tolerance.

Sorted the constant upset stomach of our staffie
After many many months of different foods and antibiotics our vet recommend this food and after a few days toilet great, she loves the taste and we have found in our case we have to give less than the recommended amount as a well built staffie was increasing in size by the day .great food and at this price not expensive for what you use ,only bad thing is the lab loves it too and tries to steal it at every opportunity and he's on fresh meat so shows how appetising it is (or how greedy labs are) seriously can't praise this food enough it's turned out staffies life around
