Purina Proplan Veterinary Diets Canine HA Hypoallergenic is a complete hypoallergenic veterinary diet for the diagnosis and management of food allergies in dogs of all ages, including puppies.
Some dogs may suffer from food allergy, which can cause skin discomfort and/or digestive upsets. PPVD HA is a true hypoallergenic diet specially formulated with a single protein source and purified carbohydrate source and, in addition, the protein has been broken down (hydrolysed) into very tiny components that are too small to cause an allergic reaction. Such hydrolysed diets are recognised as the best type of food to use during an 'elimination diet trial' when trying to diagnose (or rule out) food allergy.
During such a trial it is important that your dog is fed no other food or treats. PPVD HA is also useful for dogs with severe bowel disease such as IBD as it is particularly highly digestible.

My itchy dog loves it!
Our vet has put our dog on a restricted diet - just this. I was a bit worried at first as it seems so plain but she loves it and having read all the reviews I am in no doubt that within a few weeks she will reap the benefits and her skin will stop itching dramatically if not totally then almost. She is also on Yumega Itchy Dog oil every morning and Piriton twice a day - poor thing but am hoping to be able to wean her off the piriton. Anyhow have an appointment with the vet in six weeks to discuss and see how she is doing.

My 8 month puppy has recently undergone surgery for a liver shunt. Prior to surgery he was on a well known hepatic diet but wasn't putting on weight. This diet was recommended by veterinary surgeon and puppy now doing well and gaining weight.

Sorted my dog's IBS problem out

Great for delicate tums!
This is the only food that suits my dogs digestion and we have tried many different varieties. Doesn’t look very appetising as it is very beige but my Labrador loves it.

Purina hypoallergenic for older dogs
A1 delivery seems to help our little Maisey Cornnbread a old chiwawa she did not have the best start in life but she is lovely .Food suits her very well.
