Purina Proplan Veterinary Diets Canine HA Hypoallergenic is a complete hypoallergenic veterinary diet for the diagnosis and management of food allergies in dogs of all ages, including puppies.
Some dogs may suffer from food allergy, which can cause skin discomfort and/or digestive upsets. PPVD HA is a true hypoallergenic diet specially formulated with a single protein source and purified carbohydrate source and, in addition, the protein has been broken down (hydrolysed) into very tiny components that are too small to cause an allergic reaction. Such hydrolysed diets are recognised as the best type of food to use during an 'elimination diet trial' when trying to diagnose (or rule out) food allergy.
During such a trial it is important that your dog is fed no other food or treats. PPVD HA is also useful for dogs with severe bowel disease such as IBD as it is particularly highly digestible.

Seems to be working
Purina HA was suggested by our vet due to ongoing bowel problems with my Golden Retrievers, one loves it the other one seemed to have difficulty eating it and was having to be hand fed piece by piece as he would not go near the dish, after a couple of days we tried soaking it with hot water, did the trick now he loves mealtimes again and the food. After being on the food for less than a week it seems to be working for both of them, fingers crossed it carries on.

Endlich kein Durchfall mehr
Wir füttern das Futter seit dem 31.10.18. Sofortige Besserung von dem Kot. Kein Durchfall mehr, das erste Mal seit 6 Monaten. Das Futter wird sehr gut verwertet, kleine Häufchen am Tag im Gegesatz zum vorherigen Futter. Emil hat auch wieder etwas zugenommen, er war sehr abgemagert durch den ständigen Durchfall. Ich hoffe, dass sein Juckreiz und die tränenden Augen auch noch verschwinden, aber wir füttern ja erst seit 3 Wochen. Er hat scheinbar auch keine Bauchschmerzen mehr und Bauchgeräusche sind weniger geworden. Das einzigste was mir etwas unangenehm ist, ist sein Maulgeruch, der ist extremer geworden. Aber wir warten ab, vielleicht ist das nur in der Umgewöhnungsphase . Ich würde das Futter jedem empfehlen,

Great for food allergies
I have tried various hypo-allergenic foods and raw feeding, this is by far the best available. I have used it before and switched to other food for cheapness, its not worth the suffering for my dog, I see instant relief in my dogs allergies.

Resolved problems!
Changed to this from another Veterinary prescribed Hypoallergenic food when some occasional problems were recurring a bit too frequently with his IBD. He is doing fine on it too!

Digestive problem finally resolved
I bought this product on the recommendation of a feiiow dog owner whose dog had a similar problem to ours. The vet had tried four rounds of antibiotics that just seemed to be making the situation worse. When I asked for their opinion of this food they said it was worth trying. The results were immediate and totally positive, no recurrence of diarrhoea and our dog is beaming with good health. What could have been our last summer with her has been completely turned around with this great food. I can't recommend it enough and we won't be using anything else from now on.

Purine diet veterinary dog food
This is an excellent food for my dog Jess. She really likes it and she is now nearly 11 years old and gets skin allergies now and again.
