Purina® Proplan® Veterinary Diets Canine NF Renal Function is a complete veterinary diet for dogs with chronic kidney disease. PPVD NF contains restricted amounts of phosphorus as this mineral can build up in kidney patients and has been shown to contribute to progression of the condition. It also contains limited amounts of high quality protein to help reduce the build-up of toxins, while helping to maintain muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids also help maximise the natural anti-inflammatory processes and reduce blood pressure inside the kidney.
Note that PPVD NF is not suitable for dogs that require a high protein/phosphorus diet diet such as pregnant bitches or growing puppies.

Purine pro plan renal wet food
I think this food has helped my elderly Dalmatian who has been quite poorly since last year with kidney disease. This was the only thing that would help him,a change in his diet. My Vet told me about special diets,and I chose this canned wet food. My dog loves it and I feel he is still with me because of it.It is expensive, but worth it.0

What's not to like!
Was worried that a veterinary diet might no go down well with my dog but he loves it, handy to use as training treats as well. Good prices and next day delivery with a 1 hour delivery window.

Dog won’t touch it....
Bought this to mix with the tins of wet food to try and cut the cost slightly...dog won’t touch it but loves the tinned wet on its own...dog was raw fed so not used to eating kibble probably ok if you dog likes kibble

For any dogs with renal problems this is great for them and more importantly the dogs love it plus of course price is so better less than from a vet
