Balanced and complete feed for adult cats - Recommended to help limit weight gain.

Maintaining an ideal body condition and muscle mass is a crucial aspect of your cat’s overall health. That’s why an ideal weight – as well as muscle and bone strength maintenance – is essential to maintaining long-term bone and joint strength. Keeping your cat feeling full is the key to stopping its attempts to overeat. Overweight cats often try to maintain the level of fullness they’re used to from a higher calorie intake. That’s why it’s important for it to have a diet with a lower calorie intake that also provides the same level of palatability and satisfaction. Royal Canin® Light Weight Care is a precisely balanced nutritional formula that helps your cat maintain a healthy body condition. It contains a special blend of fibres (including psyllium) to increase the volume of food in the stomach in order to support the feeling of fullness – naturally reducing spontaneous eating. Royal Canin® Light Weight Care is enriched with L-Carnitine to maintain a healthy fat metabolism. It contains a very high protein content and a low fat content; the perfect ratio for maintaining muscle mass whilst limiting weight gain to support a healthy weight in conjunction with an appropriate mealtime routine and regular exercise – in accordance with your cat’s breed size. Over 90% of slightly overweight cats, fed with Royal Canin® Light Weight Care dry formula achieved a healthier weight in 8 weeks*. It’s also been formulated with a balance of specific minerals that help maintain the health of an adult cat’s urinary system. My cats love this. When I acquired them, from a rescue centre, they were overweight and now they are lovely and sleek! I have no doubt that this product - and less "treats" - has contributed to their weightloss.

I would not give anything else to my 2 babys ! My indoor Bengals have always had Royal Canin. After being sterilised I used the sterilised 37 food which they love. I tried indoor but they did not like it, I tried Fit but they started to put weight on so back to sterilised for the last year and they also finish the bowl. A large bag lasts at least 2 months, so 10 a month per cat is a bargain! And you know its the best you can get for your cat/s.

My two cats are both indoor cats, one with long hair and one with short hair but dry skin and pads.
For this reason I alternate between the Skin & Hair 33 and Indoor 27 varieties.
The skin and hair makes a huge and visible difference - their coats are more glossy and easier to comb, it also helps with dry flaking skin and dandruff. The shape and texture of the biscuits is easy to maanage too - even for my elderly cat with no teeth! She doesn`t struggle to eat the biscuits at all and their roug

You might think that the cats would turn their noses up at a biscuit that`s not the `full fat` version (17 less calories) - after all we humans probably would, but my cats love it and gobble it up which is great as a couple of them are slightly overweight and it`s a subtle way of helping them to lose it without them being starved! Only reason for a 4 and not 5 rating is that these `special` diet products are fairly expensive, although Pet Supermarket have an offer on which has helped.
