Complete dietetic feed for adult dogs.

Royal Canin® Renal is a dry kibble diet containing tailored nutrition to help support dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.  When your dog’s kidneys are not functioning efficiently, it often means that phosphorus cannot effectively be filtered from the blood stream. Royal Canin® Renal is formulated with a low phosphorus content – as well as a moderate amount of quality proteins – to help support kidney function. Royal Canin® Renal is formulated with an adapted energy content that helps to reduce the volume of your dog’s meals, ultimately supporting a reduced appetite. Royal Canin® Renal also helps to support dogs with a reduced appetite and/or food aversion thanks to its specific aromatic profile. The size, shape, and texture of this kibble is specially tailored to appeal to your dog’s appetite. Attracting your dog to their food bowl isn’t always easy in cases of food aversion. To cater to each dog’s individual preferences, Royal Canin® Renal is also available as wet food in two different textures: a loaf and thin slices in gravy. With this variety in textures, it’s easier for you to help stimulate and support your dog’s varying appetite. If your dog enjoys a mixed diet of wet and dry food, be sure to reference the on-pack feeding guides to ensure a healthy daily food intake for your dog. Royal Canin® Renal Veterinary diets for dogs are formulated to support kidney function in dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency. Each formula in the Royal Canin® Renal Support range contains specific nutrients to provide your dog with a complete and balanced diet.

Renal Support: Formulated with low phosphorus and moderate protein of high quality to support renal function.

Adapted Energy: Adapted energy content to reduce meal volume and help support a reduced appetite.

Aromatic Choice: A specific aromatic profile with a dedicated texture to help stimulate the dog’s appetite, particularly in cases of food aversion.

    Kidney disease

    Posted by Winkfield15 on 26th Apr 2021

My dog was originally prescribed Hills k/d for her kidney problem, we had her on this for nearly a year, she did not like it and her bowl was never empty, she gained weight and her kidney function did not improve. The new vet suggested the Royal Can in and we have not looked back, her kidney function has improved and she eats all her food now.

    A Vet Recommended This Product

Posted by Labs on 26th Apr 2021

We purchased this product after our elderly dog developed kidney problems and our vet recommended a specialist diet instead of his usual dry food. He has been eating this product for a year now and his condition has not worsened. He appears very happy with it and there were no problems switching over.

My dog says this is the best

Posted by anonymous on 26th Apr 2021

When my dog was put onto renal diet I bought every brand available and let him choose which he preferred. This is the one he chose so I can't argue with that, he eats every last scrap.

Our older dogs have renal issues but their renal blood markers have remained good since using these biscuits in their diet.

    Renal diet

Posted by Wolfhound on 26th Apr 2021

If you have a hound that has kidney disease, the choices are limited. Our Irish Wolfhound liked this at 1st, but has become tired with it after 2 months. Trying to find what I can add to make it more palatable so add veggies & tom sauce. Veggies are OK, but we have to add the ketchup (just a tad) to get him to eat it. Not sure if the vet would approve though. Check with your own vet before you follow my example. Otherwise, his levels have improved greatly. Better kidney function & blood & urine test results.
