Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Calm Adult Dry Cat Food

Has completely changed my cat's behaviour from aggressive to affectionate.

I have a neutered Tom cat who, out of the blue started spraying when a new cat turned up on the street. He was totally stressed and on edge. After a couple of weeks on this food, he is so much happier and calmer.

All seven of our moggies enjoy this altho used primarily to diffuse tensions between 3 of them. Tensions do seem to have dissipated after a couple of weeks use. Fingers crossed.

I bought this recently because one of my 2 cats is very nervous when she returned home following radio-iodine treatment for hyperthyroidism. I give it to both cats and both are calm and relaxed. I think that these biscuits have helped her settle again and both cats really like them.

This food was recommended by our vet because our elderly cat was showing signs of stress, likely because, with age, she felt less able to defend her territory. She loves the food, never turns her nose up at it, is grooming herself properly, is more playful and is showing less sign of anxiety. Worth paying that little bit extra for a happy cat.

I've been using this food for over a year now and my cat still eats it up readily everyday. I originally bought it for him as he is a rescued cat and had previously been mistreated by humans; resulting in an understandably anxious, highly strung cat. I was keen to find a food that was excellent quality as an everyday food but one that would also help his anxiety signs and symptoms such as excess grooming (resulting in poor coat) and, at times, aggressiveness. I was particularly impressed to see that this food contained similar ingredients to Zylkene which I had previously been giving him separately. I can honestly say that, along with environmental changes and lots of patience, he is now a different cat! I'm not saying that this food did everything, but his grooming problems seem to be zero and people often comment on his glossy coat. He has bounds of (positive!) energy and is far more chilled out. It is an absolute joy to see and I'll certainly continue using this food to support his progress.

I can't say for sure whether this food as a noticeable calming effect on the cats - but they love the food and there's never any waste.
