Complete dietetic feed for cats.

For cats with digestive sensitivities, a complete and balanced diet that provides supportive nutrients can help to stimulate healthy digestion and facilitate good intestinal transit. Available in 85 g pouches, Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal in Gravy is exclusively formulated to support healthy digestion, while also supporting your cat’s varied nutritional needs. The high energy content in Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal in Gravy helps to reduce the volume of your cat’s meal and decrease their intestinal load, which makes digestion much easier for your cat whilst also meeting their general nutritional needs. Incorporating an ideal balance of fibres – including prebiotics – Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal in Gravy is highly digestible and contributes to healthy digestion and transit. Prebiotics help to stimulate the growth and balance of beneficial bacteria in your cat’s digestive tract, contributing to a healthy digestive environment. Cats with digestive issues may have a reduced appetite. If your cat’s appetite has decreased, feeding Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal in Gravy could help because it is highly palatable with an attractive aroma and texture. If your cat is overweight or prone to weight gain, consider offering them Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal Moderate Calorie in Gravy that contains all of the benefits of their counterpart, just with fewer calories. As part of the Royal Canin® Veterinary Health Nutrition range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. To cater to each cat’s individual preferences, Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal is also available as dry kibble. If you’re considering mixed feeding, simply follow the on-pack feeding guidelines to ensure your cat gets an accurate amount of both wet and dry food for optimal benefit. At Royal Canin® we’re committed to providing nutritional solutions to your pet’s needs. All our products undergo an extensive quality control process in order to guarantee the optimum quality of food, as well as catering to your cat’s specific dietary requirements and lifestyle. This means that when your cat eats Royal Canin® Gastrointestinal in Gravy, it’s getting a complete and balanced diet.

    Quality food

I have been trying to get my cat to eat this food for a couple of months. She suffers from severe diarrhoea and uses the litter tray up to 4 times a day. She has a form of IBS. To encourage her to eat the food, I have mixed in her favourite Sheba food, but she picks out the meat she likes and leaves the rest. Also added a few of her treats to get her interested in it. She will eat a little of it but is not keen. I end up throwing most away as it goes dry very quickly. Her condition has not improved but this is probably because she is still eating her regular food as well. I wish these specialist Vets food were made for fussy eaters and also offer single pouches to try before buying a box of 12. The vets can only offer a steroid injection to help with the problem but that cause too many side effects. Also tried her on the gastrointestinal biscuits, she likes them but prefers wet food.

    Tasty!

Bought this on recommendation of vet for high liver enzyme results for Frosti. Was worried that he would 1) not like a special diet 2) get bored with one flavour but he loves it. Moist little rectangles of meat in a slight tasty gravy. Only downside is it’s labelled high energy which I think means it’s quite high in calories but Royal Canin also supply a moderate version of this food which we’ve switched to. ALT level has halved in 8 weeks on this food so will continue

    Good in the short-term...

I bought this after my cat had a reaction to the painkillers used in dental surgery, in combination with the "sensitive" food from the same range, and it seems to have helped settle his tummy. He did get a bit fussy with it after a week or so though, so I don't know whether it just became too bland and boring, but it was a bit of a struggle! Worth the extra cost if you need a food that is gentle on your cat's tummy.

Excellent for cats with digestive issues

I bought this after my cat suffered pancreatitis and other digestive problems and the vet recommended this food. If I deviate from it now he gets sick again but he seems to like this and the equivalent dry food so it's worth the extra cost to keep him well!

Cat loves it and it works

My cat suffers from digestive problems. Whenever I notice loose poo I give him a portion for each of his next two meals. Always sorts it out and he can go back to normal dry food (James Wellbeloved)
