Like humans, some dogs can be prone to weight gain as they become older or less active. Neutered or spayed dogs can also be prone to excessive weight gain due to reduced energy requirements. Older, overweight or less active dogs still need a carefully balanced diet, with high quality ingredients to maintain their health and condition and field & trial light & senior has been specifically formulated to meet these needs. Wheat gluten free made with easily digestible chicken and rice, it is lower in protein and fat which can help dogs lose excessive weight. It also contains enhanced levels of glucosamine and chondroitin to help protect the joints of your dog.

It is helping my retired Greyhound

My retired greyhound has stiff joints and this feels to be helping with that. Its a little pricey but worth it at the moment.

    Great for older working dogs

    Posted by Sandy74 on 30th Mar 2020

I have two black labradors one aged 12 and the other 9 years old who have been on this product for about 18 months. Both were overweight when I put them on to it but now are both good weights for their size and age. They both did 41 days picking up last season on this dry food together with some meat and vegetables. Their coats are good and they are active for their ages.

    Our Senior Dogs Love it

    Posted by Jinty173 on 21st Feb 2020

Bought this product for my two Golden Retrievers who are 11 and were gaining weight. They absolutely love the light Skinners and have noticed an almost immediate trim down in both.

    Size and low fat

    Posted by Kerricur3 on 13th Feb 2020

I went for this because my dog has to have a low fat diet mostly white fish and chicken but we need some help lol so this appealed, BCS the dog is small the pellete are perfect size not too big, they are quite hard so when she was very poorly we soaked them but now she likes to crunch them as a hand fed treat so I can't fault these and will buy again, she is an older Yorkshire terrier patterdale with pancreatitis x

This is the second bag of this kibble, it was tried initially to try and help our Poppy with certain issues. Luckily it was a wise decision and she is now healthier lighter and loves the kibble.
