Coprophagia is a behavioural condition with puppies and dogs consuming their own faeces. It is a common habit and can be distressful for the pet owner and unhygienic for the pet. Stool Repel-Um tablets have been specially formulated to help deter the unpleasant habit of stool eating. When the active ingredients are ingested by the animal, they become activated in the small intestine and may help to produce a stool which is unpalatable to the animal.
VetIQ® Stool Repel-Um tablets have been specially formulated to help deter stool-eating behaviour by making the dog's own stool unpalatable to eat. Stool Repel contains Capsicum Oleoresin, a lachrymatory agent, which deters a puppy or dog from eating its own stool by causing a mild irritation to the eyes and a mild burning sensation if the stool is eaten. It also contains the enzyme, Alpha-Amylase which breaks down starches, improving the animal's digestive performance.

Maybe too early to tell
My dog has only been on these for a couple of weeks and whilst I thought they may be helping as she started sneezing after sniffing her poo, I did lift it quickly. However today out in the park I didn't get to her quickly enough. Will persevere a little longer and hopefully have the desired result. Have based my star ratings on the information I have so far.

Not nice to deal with
It does what is says on the box, if your dog eats its own faeces, this has proved to stop it.

My friend's Boxer had an extremely bad habit of stool eating, dogs, foxes, badgers etc. He has been having these tablets for around 3 months and no longer touches any "nastys". Instead of having 2 tablets a day, he has been cut down to one a day and they are still effective. Excellent product.

My friend has a Jack Russell who has always had extremely loose motions. I found Mark Chappell Stool Repel whilst browsing the Pet Supermarket site and decided to order the tablets. The Jack has been on these tablets for around 6 months now and they have really helped him. He rarely has the "squirts" now and these tablets keep him firm but not constipated. I would recommend them to anyone.
