The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap uses your cat’s existing microchip like an electronic door key to keep unwanted animals out of your home. The unique number on your cat’s microchip is permanently stored in the memory of the cat flap, even when the batteries are removed. When your cat approaches the cat flap from the outside, it reads their microchip and the door unlocks. It remains locked for any other animals who try to gain entry, creating a secure environment for your cat. Resident cats are less stressed once they realise their home is no longer being invaded.

When installing into glass, the SureFlap Mounting Adapter is required. This is because glass requires a circular hole. The mounting adapter ensures that the flap fits into the glass correctly with no gaps. The adapter can also be used when installing into a wall as it leaves a smooth and clean finish.

Inaccurate product description
This is sold as being suitable for installation in various materials including glass, as below, but it has a non adjustable collar that cannot be cut to size, so where is this so-called mounting adaptor?? it was not offered to me upon purchase and is not in the box.. Fume. (For glass installations a SureFlap Cat Flap Mounting Adaptor is required.)

Excellent product
Having used a previous mains driven microchip cat flap, I was pleased to learn of a battery based one. This Sureflap was easy to install into a pane of glass and has been 'purrfect' for my 3 little rascals to get their freedom (once trained and the scars on my hands have gone down ;))

Happy Cats - Problem Solved
No more neighbouring cats coming in causing a nuisance and upsetting everyone and everything! Wish I'd bought it sooner.

Excellent flap, strong, easy to install as the hole didn't even need to be cut from previous flap.Easy controls and works well, looks very smart too. Well pleased and good price too. Banjo took a little time to get used to it, say three goes with me putting my head against it and pushing with hands. As he is a rescue he may not have even had a flap before. He manages it well.My neighbours cat has a magnetic collar one and always having to buy new magnets, so she may get one.

sureflap cat flap
I decided to order this cat flap as the reviews were very good and it is brilliant. It was easy to install and the cat came straight through so his micochip number was stored and it has worked perfectly ever since. No longer are we feeding the neighbourhood cats.

Easy to install, some videos on you tube if you are still not sure how to do it. My cat has never used a cat flap in its life and we only had one week to train him before we went on a holiday. It took him just over one day to understand what he needed to do and now hes just so happy. He pops out when he likes, and comes back when he likes. No more waiting up til midnight or beyond for me for him to come home. The microchip pairing was easy to do and now no other cat can get into my house. Would recommend!!'

Best £60 we've spent in a long while! :)
You know how when you go on holiday you tell your kids not to have any parties? We went away and clearly forgot to tell our female moggie this rule.... Came back to find all the neighbourhood toms had been in and had a rollicking good time terrorizing her, eating her food, spraying everywhere and to cap it all, a large poo festering in the kitchen. Not impressed! Had words with the dear girl about house rules, but the local lads continued to take advantage of our unintended generosity. Fitted this cat flap - problem sorted! Magic - now she has P&Q when we go away and we don't come back to a bombsite. Thoroughly recommend it. Also the cat food seems to last a lot longer ;)

Easy to set up and works perfectly, only problem is we have a cat who won't push the flap open with his head. Tries to push it with paws, but then his head is not in the tunnel. Have to tape up flap, which defeats the reason for having the microchip operation.

Brilliant
Although our cat is 8 years old she soon learnt that the flap led to freedom! It took a little longer for her to learn how to come back in as she was trying to push it open with her paw however, curiosity finally achieved the goal when she just had to have a look to why it would not open, heard a click and pushed it with her head. No more 3am arguments to let the cat out!
