The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap uses your cat’s existing microchip like an electronic door key to keep unwanted animals out of your home. The unique number on your cat’s microchip is permanently stored in the memory of the cat flap, even when the batteries are removed. When your cat approaches the cat flap from the outside, it reads their microchip and the door unlocks. It remains locked for any other animals who try to gain entry, creating a secure environment for your cat. Resident cats are less stressed once they realise their home is no longer being invaded.

Key features

  • Makes cats feel more comfortable in their own homes
  • No more fights or spray marking in the house
  • Compatible with all common microchips and the Sure Petcare RFID collar tag (not included)
  • Battery powered – requires 4 x AA batteries which last up to a year (not included)
  • Low battery indicator light gives you plenty of notice when the batteries need changing
  • Can be installed in doors, glass or walls
  • Four-way manual lock allows greater control of your cat’s entry or exit
  • Stores up to 32 pet identities

When installing into glass, the SureFlap Mounting Adapter is required. This is because glass requires a circular hole. The mounting adapter ensures that the flap fits into the glass correctly with no gaps. The adapter can also be used when installing into a wall as it leaves a smooth and clean finish.

    well made cat flap

This appears to be robust and looks neat in our upvc door. Cat happy to go out but as yet not keen to use it to come back in. I think it's because it's fairly deep and we're hoping he won't take long to realise he has to go all the way in.

    Exceeded our expectations

We decided to buy this cat flap after regular visits from a neighbourhood cat. Our cat was becoming very stressed, on high alert all the time, and too frightened to go out. I was a bit worried about how we'd get on fitting it as we're pretty hopeless at all diy. Our old cat flap was a staywell and thankfully the new flap fitted the old hole perfectly - even the screw holes were in the right place. We had it fitted in no time, and believe me, if we can do it anyone can. My other concern was whether our cat's microchip would work ok. She's had it for 11 years now so would it be one of the old style ones that wouldn't register? No need to worry - it scanned straight away and soon she was hopping in and out like a pro. Now 2 weeks on and she's so much happier - the other cat no longer hangs around and she's reclaimed the garden. It looks really smart too. All in all an excellent buy and worth the money.

    not infalable

I bought this item as it purported to keep out cats other than my own. It worked for a whole 3 weeks. Now a pesky neighbourhood cat has managed to open the flap outwards with his claws. So I'm back to square one but£63 worse off.

    Easy to set up

This was very easy to install and program our cats microchips into. Our cats learnt to use it very quickly. Highly recommend to avoid unwanted guests in your house.

I fitted a magnetic flap when the two cats arrived. Sadly after days of trying they could not get on with the collar attachments, which were quite bulky. The result was that each night several 'pals' would visit the house leaving their mark and smell. Although one of the cats had to be chipped it proved to be a good move. I installed the microchip Sureflap. The cats soon got used to the Click of the lock releasing. The flap has proved to be the best I have ever used. Company service and Sureflap 100 percent

    Best buy, ever!

A stray cat was making life unbearable for my two cats, entering the house, spraying and fighting with them. Now that we have fitted the Sureflap life has settled down and everyone feels secure. Easy to fit and the cats are happy to use it just like the old one.

    Excellent can't fault it

We bought this for our 2 kittens to use about 2 weeks ago. We are renovating our house so don't have many doors fixed in the house at the moment separating rooms so I was nervous about having a regular cat flap which may result in finding another cat in any part of the house having let itself in. Our cats also don't wear collars but are microchipped. Easy to install. Easy to set up and the cats got the hang of it very quickly. We love it! And I can relax! Worth spending a bit more on for that piece of mind
