Sureflap Microchip Pet Door

I don’t know how I managed without one of these when I had my last cat (for 21 years!) It just avoids having to keep an eye out for a little furry face at the back door when you’re trying to relax in the evening! Curfew mode is brilliant as I can make sure that my cat can’t stay out all night, even though he does have a tendency to roll in later than his curfew especially in the summer! Glad I got the microchip version too as he does have a little friend who tries to follow him in sometimes! Batteries also last for ages, although the battery level indicator on mine didn’t warn me when it was low, so the flap stopped working when my cat was still outside which wasn’t ideal, but apart from that a brilliant product.

I already had a micro chip cat flap but as my cat was getting older (he’s 13) and fatter he was struggling to get through it so I bought this larger pet door so he wouldn’t struggle. It’s so easy to install and reads your pets micro chip so quickly and without fuss, the different modes in it are so easy to understand and use as the screen on top on the door tells you exactly what mode the door is in. I would highly recommend this product.

Je dispose d'une chatière Sureflap depuis de nombreuses années. J'ai opté pour la chatière électronique plus moderne et avec plus de fonction, j'en suis très contente. Néanmoins faites attention lors de l'installation sur une porte métallique car cela freine la détection de la puce de votre animal. L'équipe Sureflap m'a exceptionnellement bien renseignée pour faire les modifications nécessaires merci à eux pour leur suivi personnalisé; et cela fonctionne maintenant parfaitement. Je recommande la chatière pour votre confort et celui de votre animal.

Je confirme les avis déjà parus: léger temps d'acclimatation pour le chat. Le nôtre est craintif et sursautait ou reculait devant le clap de déverrouillage... Je conseille aussi de la laisser ouverte qq temps grâce à un adhésif. Puis bien montrer calmement au chat qu'il peut pousser avec sa tête, donner une petite friandise... Pour enregistrer la puce, bien suivre le mode d emploi; je l'ai fait passer grâce à des croquettes quand lalucarne n'est pas encore installée. En position ouverte, elle a vite compris ensuite que ça lui donnait accès à la maison. Nous sommes encore sur l'apprentissage avec vitre baissée. Etre patient et doux , le chat se rassure...

Bought this recently along with the adapter for a glass door. A glazier measured up and supplied the new double glazed unit, then fitted it along with the flap. My year old cat hadn't used a flap before but got the hang of it within a couple of weeks. It took a bit of encouragement, lots of treats & not letting her out or back in again unless she used the flap. I adapted it gradually to suit her capability & confidence. At first I taped the door so it was about 1/3 way open until she got used to that for a few days. Next I removed the batteries & taped the catch down so the flap moved freely in both directions. This was to get her comfortable with actually pushing the flap herself & just incase the clicking noise put her off. She didn't do it when I watched, but managed OK when I didn't! After 2-3 days of using it like this I put the batteries back in. We're now fully operational & using it correctly!! Now I can see when she comes & goes throughout the day on the App. It does make a clicking noise when it reads the chip but my cat soon got used to this. I wish I'd bought one sooner. I love the fact she can come & go as she pleases when I'm at work.

Facile à monter et à utiliser, mon chat l'a adopté tout de suite ! Forcément les petits "clac" de verrouillage et déverrouillage s'entendent un peu, mais la notre est installée sur la porte du garage donc pas de problème. On adore !
