SureFlap SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Bowl

Thought this was a great idea for my cat and bought it for her so that I don't have to worry about her getting fresh food when I'm out.. On first appearance it's lovely, very smart, clean and modern. Also quite small and neat so doesn't get in the way in the kitchen. Sadly, my cat hates it! The door when it raises up makes a mechanical sound and she's very wary, I've had over a month and she will only eat from it if I open the door for her. Also, she doesn't like the handle over her head, it's quite low down and you can see she's not comfortable with it being so close to her head. Then the next problem, the huge batteries it takes only last about a month! I used Duracell batteries, nothing cheap and they have run out already! On the plus side it keeps the flies off the food, keeps the food fresh and keeps my dogs snout out!

My very nervous cat finally has her own eating place! I took time to introducing her to the new system but it had really been worth it. My sons dog can no longer snaffle her food and it keeps the food much fresher. Neat and portable she now knows it's HER food. Expensive but worth it.

I bought this because my senior cat has always been underweight as he likes to graze but then the younger cat always demolished his bowl leaving him nothing to graze. It took him a few days to get used to it but I was delighted to hear the lid activating throughout the night. Now all the food is gone and he's slowly putting on weight! Plus the dog can't get into it which is just brilliant so we'll be investing in a 2nd one for our other cat when we move house as all the animals will be eating together and we won't have to worry about anyone's being pinched.

Einziges Manko, ist das die Katze sehr nah heran gehen muss, um das Öffnen auszulösen. Hängt aber vielleicht auch von der Chipposition ab. Sie bekoomt dann fast die Abdeckung ins Gesicht, wenn sich diese öffnet. Das braucht dann eine lange Gewöhnungszeit und ist für sensible Katzen vielleicht ein Problem.

Got 3 cats. One overweight. All 3 took to each of theirs within a couple of days. Lot of money to invest in so I was praying it would work. It did. WATCH OUT, I stupidly put them outside, we had a downpour and 2 got the water inside the battery casing. It did say NOT to put them outside. But they are that good I've just placed another order to replace the 2 I ruined!

2 cats - one fussy eater and one who will eat everything in sight = one over skinny cat and one Porker & Vets description. This bowl has transformed the situation - skinny cat can now eat whenever she wants and Porker is now on a strict diet. Excellent product.

My cat has hyperthyroidism and needs to eat very very regularly and biscuits make her sick, and I also have a stray that won't let food lay for more than a minute. This has literally saved the one with the thyroid condition, she was losing weight and being sick constantly before I bought this now she eats when ever she needs and it also means I get a full nights sleep.

Surefeed microchip pet feeder is brilliant and so easy to set and use! I have two cats, one greedy and the other a grazer. The training is well explained and straightforward. Once in working mode, the look on the greedy cat's face when she couldn't get to the grazers food & after she had bolted down her own food, was a picture I will not forget for a long time!!
