The Yakers Himalayan Yak Milk Dog Chew is an irresistible and uniquely flavoured dog chew made from a mix of skimmed Yak and Cow milk for a delicious taste and an extremely long-lasting treat.
Yakers find their origin in the hills of the Himalayas. Originally made for human consumption, they are still widely eaten by the Himalayan people and their dogs. They are made from a mix of skimmed Yak and Cow milk. A very small amount of lime juice and salt is added to coagulate (harden) the milk, which is then compressed into blocks and smoke dried for 28 days to give the chews their unique flavour.
Depending on the size of your dog – as well as how determined he or she is – Yakers can be an extremely long-lasting treat. The hard texture means dogs need to soften and work at the treat before they’re rewarded with small pieces to chew off. So you get to keep them happily entertained for a lot, lot longer. You can also put the small end pieces in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds until they puff up. Allow to cool and then give back to your dog to finish the treat.

Great for sensitive bellies and intense chewers
We have a Frenchie who is either allergic to, or sensitive to, many food and treat types. She's on hypoallergenic food and treats and still has negative reactions. She is also able to chew through dog bones very quickly, which also makes her sick. The Yakers take a long time for her to finish but also keep her attention, and don't have a negative affect on her belly. Win Win Win.

My 10 month old Lab loves Yakers!
I bought this for my Lab as it keeps him entertained, and I love that it is natural and I know exactly what’s in it.It was a reasonable price compared to my local pet shop but my negative was it was a lot smaller not X large so it didn’t last very long.

Great for puppies and big chewers.
These are great. My lab puppy loves them - the only problem is that she is getting better at chewing one now! She’s 7months and we’ve moved onto the extra large (they don’t seem to have large!). The only downside is that they are really quite expensive overall - though it depends how fast your dog gets through them!

Great long lasting non smelly chew
Our dog loves these. They last ages, and although they can crumble a bit, they are not greasy and leave no mess.

Brilliant for power chewers!
Skye being a typical Staffy destroys everything in seconds, these chews are brilliant, lasts at least a few days, and she loves it when you microwave the last bit from the end and it puffs up and goes all crunchy!

Fabulous for a teething puppy!
A friend recommended this chew as their puppy loved it so as soon as our Jack Russell puppy was old enough (4mths) he had his first Yaker. He loves them and it occupies him for a long time...preventing him chewing other things..including me.

A perfect replacement for rawhide
After seeing about the way rawhide can be made I was looking for an alternative product for my labrador to chew. The medium size chew has lasted well despite her chewing it everyday. She really likes the taste and is very excited when given it. I shall buy this product again.
