These are shank bones sourced from New Zealand deer raised on grass-fed pastures. Ziwi Peak have taken the shank bone, which is full of nutrients and marrow, and wrapped a beef oesophagus over the top. The bone is then naturally air dried to retain its goodness in a shelf-stable form. They’re long-lasting and dogs go crazy for them.

Not as expected
Bought as something different for a change and at first was ok until my 2 broke into the inside and then I noticed sharp shards of bone over the floor I immediately threw the thing in the bin. Maybe I should have read up on them a bit more.

Great for keeping them occupied
I bought these after one of my Greyhounds had 19 teeth removed. I'm hoping they will help maintain her remaining teeth. She and her partner in crime are both enjoying these and they have been the most popular chewing item ever!

Not as expected!!
Bought this as an alternative to the usual Antler and was a little disappointed. While the taste seemed to appeal I was alarmed at how the strips were coming off the shank - personally prefer the antler as I know my dog can gnaw away without shredding... wouldn’t rule out as an alternative but I do have to remove and trim off the shredding bits for safety reasons.

Chocking issue
My dog loves the bone but had to be watched very closely while stripping the skin of as almost chocked on the strips. As soon as he got a strip of I had to take it off him and cut it up very small for him to enjoy. Now the skin is off it seems safe and he loves it

Just the right size
These were just right for my dogs, not too long for them to manage and nice tidy chews without too many messy bits

Worth every penny
Expensive but lasts so long, more than six months and still a firm favourite chewing thing after all that time!

Quite disappointed
I assumed it was a proper antler and actually it is a sort of chewy Rawhide around a very hard bone with splinters.

Disappointing and Rejected by dog
I have bought other venison bones before and my dog loved them, but not this one. She threw it down in disgust and walked away. On inspecting it I can see why- it has a very hard outside layer that looks like vinal. I had to double check that it wasn’t part of the packaging because it doesn’t look like it is edible. . Very disappointed for the high price.

Great chews
These are huge and my mini schnauzers couldn’t deal... but we sawed them in half and much chewing was done!
