Zylkene is a natural product that helps your dog or cat feel less stressed and return to their normal happy selves.

How it works:

Zylkene contains a natural product derived from a protein found in milk and works to calm your pet when they are feeling stressed or worried. The ingredients soothe their brain receptors, helping them to feel less stressed.

The Zyklene powder is packed into capsules which can be fed whole. If your pet refuses to swallow pills you can still give them this treatment. Simply open up the capsule and mix the powder in with your pet's food – they won’t even notice it’s there! It is designed to be fed to your pet once a day with a meal or treat.

Since Zylkene is a natural product that has little to no known side effects, you can feed it to your pet for as long as they need it. It can be given for short-term stress, possibly related to changes such as a house move or unfamiliar visitors. Or if your pet is adjusting to a more permanent change of circumstances (like being left alone during the day) they can be given Zylkene for longer periods until they settle down.

When to use it:

Animals react to stress in different ways, so it's important to learn how to spot the signs of it in your pet. Is your cat withdrawn or does she run away and hide? Is your dog more grumpy or being naughty? In scary or unfamiliar situations, pets can show that they are feeling stressed through bad or unusual behaviour.

If the cause of stress is temporary (such as a new visitor in your home or loud building work taking place) your pet will often return to normal once the problem’s removed. However, permanent changes such as a change in their routine or a new pet in the house might need you to take further action to reassure your pet.

  • Created from a natural product found in milk protein
  • Can be mixed with your pet's food for easy feeding
  • Designed to be given once a day either short or long-term

Can you get them for Humans!

Posted by Martin on 4th Nov 2016

I have a little Bichon girl who is absolutely terrified of fireworks. As soon as she hears just one go off she shakes uncontrollably and keeps searching for some place safe to hide. It's agony to watch and see the terror on her face. I thought I'd give Zylkene a try but didn't really hold out much hope, resigning myself to an expensive trip to the vets for some real drugs. What a change! She's a lot more calmer now and whilst the shaking still occurs from time to time it's not as pronounced as before and she seems to recover a lot more quickly. I combine Zylkene with an Adaptil spray which I spray on to a bandanna and place around her neck if she's having a really hard time. I think using both products together is a lot more effective than just on their own. But what I'd really like to know is can you get them for humans!!

    Really helpful and recommend

Posted by Adam Shelton Johnson on 4th Nov 2016

Our dog is very anxious and since taking these there is a noticeable calm without him being sedated or sleepy. We tried to stop using them and noticed a change abagin in his behaviour. He takes them daily and is much calmer and able to face the outside world and enjoy it more

    Zylkene tablets for cats

Posted by Trudy on 4th Nov 2016

I have two elderly cats of 18 and 19 years of age and both these are on Zylkene for dementia. I believe that they work as when they were both not taking them they used to wail at the walls and seemed generally lost in their daily activities.

These calm my cat and stop her over licking. She used to lick her back half completely bald and now has thick glossy fur again.

    Recommended Product

Our 4 year old Border Collie is highly strung and has been on a daily dose of 225mg of Zylkene for about two years following a recommendation from our dog behaviourist. The Zylkene is mixed with 50g of cottage cheese (which he loves) and administered after his morning walk.
