Zylkene is a natural product that helps your dog or cat feel less stressed and return to their normal happy selves.
How it works:
Zylkene contains a natural product derived from a protein found in milk and works to calm your pet when they are feeling stressed or worried. The ingredients soothe their brain receptors, helping them to feel less stressed.
The Zyklene powder is packed into capsules which can be fed whole. If your pet refuses to swallow pills you can still give them this treatment. Simply open up the capsule and mix the powder in with your pet's food – they won’t even notice it’s there! It is designed to be fed to your pet once a day with a meal or treat.
Since Zylkene is a natural product that has little to no known side effects, you can feed it to your pet for as long as they need it. It can be given for short-term stress, possibly related to changes such as a house move or unfamiliar visitors. Or if your pet is adjusting to a more permanent change of circumstances (like being left alone during the day) they can be given Zylkene for longer periods until they settle down.
When to use it:
Animals react to stress in different ways, so it's important to learn how to spot the signs of it in your pet. Is your cat withdrawn or does she run away and hide? Is your dog more grumpy or being naughty? In scary or unfamiliar situations, pets can show that they are feeling stressed through bad or unusual behaviour.
If the cause of stress is temporary (such as a new visitor in your home or loud building work taking place) your pet will often return to normal once the problem’s removed. However, permanent changes such as a change in their routine or a new pet in the house might need you to take further action to reassure your pet.

Zylkene - go to aid for anxious pets
I usually use Zylkene in combination with a pheromone diffuser (Feliway/Adaptil).Some individuals it works well for and some not so much, but it's the first thing I'd recommend anyone use with a pet who's stressed. I've used it with great success in my older neurotic dog, and my cats, and even one of my rabbits. It's not a cure all, but it seems to make a difference. It has an accumulative effect, I usually see a real difference at around day 9. A week before a stressful event (e.g. new years/holiday etc.) I start giving the capsules daily. Easy to give, the capsule can be opened onto food, the powder sticks quite well to the dry cat food we use if you don't feed wet food. I would strongly recommend giving Zylkene a try to anyone who has a pet with anxiety related problems.

Works wonders on stressed cats
Have been feeding Zylkene to our 5 year old Bengal in an attempt to stop him over-grooming. We've seen a great improvement in his coat and he is also much more relaxed and playful. I'd recommend this product in conjunction with a Feliway diffuser.

Le zylkène agit efficacement dès la première gélule. Je n'ai essayé que sur une chatte assez sauvage et stressée, mais cela a donné de bons résultats. Elle est beaucoup plus "zen" et nous laisse nous occuper d'elle sans problème. D'autant que le zylkène est très tentant pour les chats et qu'ils aiment ça... Et c'est sans dépendance ! A ne pas confondre avec un antidépresseur.

We tried zylkene to help our dog over bonfire night ~ started 3 or 4 days before & it was the best she'd ever had ~ completely awake but not that bothered by the noises that had terrified her before. Then we notice she'd stopped limping too ~ don't know how but she's just much happier all round.

Noisy DIY was scaring my little lhasa apso to pieces, 2 zylkene a day just took the edge off for her. Excellent.

An effective product but extremely expensive
We have this product to help tremendously with helping our Jack stay calm and less nervous, However, it is very expensive at 38 pence per dose.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden.
Es hilft unserem Hund in den üblichen Stresssituationen (hauptsächlich Angst vor fremden Menschen) sehr. Sie reagiert nicht mehr panisch. Man hat den Eindruck, dass sie in den Situationen einfach besser überlegen kann, zieht sich ruhig zurück, wenn es ihr zuviel wird und bellt die Leute nicht ununterbrochen an.
