Have you checked the label on your rats’ food lately? Take a look, because some rat foods contain molasses or syrup or other sugary ingredients. This extra sugar in a rat’s diet can lead to overeating and obesity. It can also lead to dental problems too.
Feeding Selective for the first time?
If you are feeding Selective to your rats for the first time, make sure you change from one food to another, gradually over 10-14 days. At first, you should mix a small amount of Selective with your rats’ current food, slowly decreasing the old diet, whilst gradually increasing the quantity of Selective. A sudden change in diet can cause digestive upsets – even when you are changing to a better quality diet – so take care!
If your rats are used to a sugary diet, you may find it takes them a while to change, but persevere as it will help to benefit your rats’ health in the long term.
And don’t forget fresh water! Your rats should have an unlimited supply at all times.

In dem Rattenfutter ist alles drin was die Tiere brauchen. Dadurch das keine besonderen Leckerchen drin sind (wie oft bei gemischtem Futter) können die Ratten sich diese nicht als erstes raus suchen was oft zu Gewichtsproblemen bei den Tieren führt. Es wird so auch alles aufgefressen so das keine Reste über bleiben. Leider ist es etwas teuer.

Des granulés parfaitement adaptés aux besoins usuels des rats d'âge moyens. Utilisés de longue date à la raterie basée sur une alimentation restreinte à 60%. Très appréciés et évitant le tri ou les résidus dans la cage (particulièrement sur drybed). A noter toutefois pour les plus vieux qu'il faut les mélanger avec un produit moins protéine (des pâtes alimentaires par exemple), et pour les plus jeunes (ou les femelles gestantes) qu'il ne faut pas hésiter à enrichir avec quelques extras.

Meine Ratten mögen es sehr gerne. Sie bekommen es als Beschäftigungstherapie (in die Pappklorolle rein und die Enden zu knicken).
Ich verwende es als Zweitfutter, bzw. Auch als Leckerchen.
Zum Paeppeln auch gut geeignet. Mit dem Mixer zerkleinern und mit Wasser vermengen ergibt einen Brei. ;-)

Ein sehr gutes Futter, das alle wichtigen Nährstoffe für die Kleinen enthält. Es wird gern gefressen und ist Allergiker geeignet. Das beste ist, dass die Stinker viel weniger müffeln als bei Mischfutter - der Unterschied ist wirklich groß!

Really please with this it is the only combined food that I can find so far that is vegetarian. My rats love it and chose to eat it over their original food that contained chicken (during the change over process they mostly left the original food) they have maintained a healthy weight though I also feed fresh fruit, green, and other occasional treats as I feel they would be better with this no matter what the main food block is. it is a great price on this site too :)

Ich find das ist das beste Rattenfutter das es gibt, ich hab bei meinen Ratten schon sehr viele verschiedene Sorten ausprobiert, bei allen wurden nur die "leckeren" Sachen rausgenommen und der Rest wurde gar nicht gefressen. I originally bought this for my multimammates, but they weren't too keen, so I tried it on the mice. They thrive on it. It is especially good for the breeding and lactating does as it ensures that they eat a balanced diet.
